November 10, 1934 - The final loss on the season
ND actually controlled this game, except for a blocked punt and a 35 yd INT return that set up both Navy scores.
ND had 8 drives that ended in Navy territory without scoring. The Irish won the statistical battle by a lot (300+ yd to 180 yd), but lost. Navy scored the only two times they threatened. Navy would win 10-6.
Layden was now 3-3 and hearing it from the press and alums again. But the big games against Army and USC were still to come. They would determine the success of failure of the season.
